The Center for Continuing Education, in collaboration with the Department of Electronic Computing, organized a workshop entitled: “When Artificial Intelligence Becomes a Burden – The Downsides of ChatGPT in Education and Work”, presented by Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Abdulrahman Idris, on Sunday, October 19, 2025.
The workshop aimed to highlight the negative consequences of excessive reliance on artificial intelligence in educational and professional settings. It addressed the resulting decline in students’ critical thinking skills and the diminishing creativity within workplace environments. The session also emphasized the importance of balanced and responsible use of AI technologies.
